--an alumnus of All Student Groups U.S.A. and had the privilege of performing with choirs at locations in Switzerland, Monaco, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg and England.

I have been at the station since April 1994.
Currently, I am the Program Director, Music Director and the host on The X 103 The Cross Morning Show.
Hobbies and interests: I love music. All styles. (well almost, I hate country). I love to read books on theology.
Family: My wife Carol and I have been married since February 1981. We have four children;
Cristen (1981), my little love, a graduate of JMU, is married to an awesome man, Johnny, and lives in Roanoke.
David (1985), my deep thinking buddy, a student at JMU.
Allison (1999). my littlest love, I usually call her Ali or Al.
Nicholas (2001), wild man, Bam Bam, also called Nick. I thought of his name while shaving one morning.

| Laura Bowers | Weekend Relief.
-A graduate of Blue Ridge Community College, Laura works part time at the station, most regularly relieving Jim Snavely on Fridays. She is occasionally found working on a Saturday. Due to her firm grasp of the alphabet, she occasionally files things. Her pet project at the station is the Pray for Change spots that focus on praying for Christians around the world.
She currently attends Liberty University online where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Religion. Her dream is to become a writer and Christian speaker. She resides in Bridgewater with her family, one dog, and three cats. Her favorite artists are Matthew West, Sanctus Real, Toby Mac, Nicole Nordeman, and Bethany Dillon. She can also get down to Crossway, the Hoppers, and Legacy Five. |

Program Director / Operations Manager
| Russ is "the old man" of the staff. Not in terms of age, but in length of service in the ministry at WNLR. Russ came to the station in 1986 fresh out of school where he studied electronics. He came as an announcer with the thought that this would only be a temporary stop in the career he had studied for…but the Lord had other plans. In 1988 he was promoted to Program Director and in 1990 Russ became the host of the Sonrise Show. He and his wife Mary have two daughters. Russ likes food from south of the border ( Tex / Mex ) and his favorite dessert is almost any pie. He enjoys family nights with his family, playing music with friends and riding his motorcycle. Russ' favorite scripture verse is Psalm 51: 10-12 and his favorite artist is Wes King. |

Part Time Announcer | Martha is a Senior at Milligan College just outside of Johnson City, TN, who is majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Theatre and Bible. She is home for the summer and will be picking up some air time while she is here. Favorite things to do: When she isn't sleeping, Martha enjoys reading, hanging out with her friends (both from Milligan and the ones here at home), knitting and croqueting, talking to friends using aim, email, and the old fashion telephone ;-), and being able to enjoy the nice sunny days (when we have them) to be outside. Favorite things to eat: Well Martha admits to being a chocoholic, but she also enjoys good old fashion home cooked meals, which she herself cooks at times. Favorite Bible Verse: John 11:5a (when you read it, stop after the first three words and you'll see why this is Martha's favorite).Favorite Song, Artist, and or Group: Nichole Nordeman's Wide Eyed song and so many others it would take up too much room. |

Part Time Announcer | Glenn also worked at WNLR full time before moving to another job that put him in the part time realm. Glenn received his degree from college in the field of broadcasting so he has a love for radio that goes pretty far back. If we had arm wrestling contests here at WNLR, Glenn would be our champion. He and his wife Angela have two children that keep them busy. When he sits down to a meal, Glenn's favorite food is Chinese and his favorite desert is a frozen mocha punch. For relaxation, Glenn likes to read, walk, play Nintendo games, or play golf (which he just started ). His favorite verse is Jer. 29: 11 and his favorite artist is Darlene Zschech with Hillsongs from Australia. |

Part Time Announcer | Denise probably has the most recognized laugh of all the staff members at WNLR. She gets tickled at things easily and before you know it you're laughing along with her. Denise and her husband Les have three children and when she's not working or caring for her family, she likes to go horseback riding and camping. Her favorite food is prime rib and for desert she likes ice cream (any kind). Denise's favorite Bible verse is Heb. 13: 5 and her favorite Christian artist is Twila Paris. |

Admn. Assistant | Nina is the friendly voice you will hear when you call. She is the administrative assistant for both WNLR and New Life Ministries which means she is the first line of contact many of you have with the ministry. She and her husband, Lowell have two sons. When she is not busy with work or with family, Nina enjoys playing guitar and leading Praise & Worship. As a matter of fact her favorite Christian music is Praise & Worship from the Vineyard. When she has her choice of meals, Nina’s favorite would be a nice juicy steak followed by a slice of cherry pie topped of with vanilla ice cream. |
